Anne Schoemaker (001) is a Dutch artist, living and working in Belgium. After completing her Fine Arts Bachelor at ArtEZ in Arnhem, she decided to make her long-cherished dream come true: being a film director. This way she ended up in Ghent, where she is currently studying Film at KASK. In addition to her practice as an artist, she has been active for some time as a programme maker and coordinator of events.
Together with artists and friends Anna de Vriend, Kai and Harriet Caldwell, I am part of the collective HIBERNATION. We aim to create space for ourselves and other artists to re-evaluate what they have been taught about artisthood and succes. Take a look at our website here
