The series Days Between Dates consists of staged images that are a result of the inevitable moments in which I witness a magical scene, but do not have to change to capture it. With the passing of time – between the moment of seeing the true event, and the reconstruction of a recollection – I question the nature of my own memory. Every distraction that was present in the actual moment is cancelled out, which makes for a hyper focus on the subject that is photographed. The original scene gets a surrealistic twist, and the lines between reality and fiction become hazy.
